They're the greatest.&lt;BR/&gt;&lt;BR/&gt;Out here in the Working World, I'm constantly amazed/intrigued/disgusted by pregnancy. I see it daily ("don't drink the water, ha ha"), and I'm just not sure I'll ever take it for granted.&lt;BR/&gt;&lt;BR/&gt;Talk about testing your boundaries. To have to share interior space. To have to think of the consequences of everything you eat or drink. It doesn't seem fair that I don't have the option of experiencing it, even though I'm not sure I'd go through with it if I could. I'm not sure I'd be brave enough.&lt;BR/&gt;&lt;BR/&gt;I always wanted to write an essay about pop-culture stories where pregnancy = hostile invasion (Rosemary's Baby, The Astronaut's Wife, The Fly). I can understand how it'd feel like something sinister were happening to your body.
